Project Manager- Process Automation, Ports

Kalmar Automation is looking for an experienced Project Manager professional who will be responsible for managing and executing Process Automation delivery projects. The role involves overseeing project planning, execution, and ensuring alignment with defined goals while fostering customer relationships and team leadership.

Responsibilities

Oversee project planning, execution, progress and follow-up; manage change control related to schedule, scope, and commercial status; estimate and allocate resources effectively; assume financial, technical, and scheduling responsibilites for project delivery; conduct risk identification and mitigation; ensure smooth handover of project to the Support team
Define and manage the project organization; coordinate with internal departments and local resources; foster a collaborative and positive working atmosphere within the project team
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer in the assigned project area, in alignment with the Project Director
Plan, coordinate, and support on-site operations within project scope; participate in on-site activities when required
Provide internal progress reports to management; deliver weekly/monthly progress updates to the customer; prepare and submit project closing reports
Collect and disseminate feedback to Sales, Project Team, Product Lines, R&D, factories and other stakeholders; organize and facilitate project feedback meetings, when required

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
5 or more years' of proven experience in Project Management, preferably in large-scale technical or infrastructure projects
demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate consultants, experts, and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes
proficient in standard office software and project scheduling applications
solid understanding of the transportation sector, particularly shipping, intermodal logistics, and container terminal operations
previous experience as a Team Leader
Strong awareness and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues
Demonstrates the ability to prioritize the end user's needs by being curious about how customers use our solutions, understanding their pain points, and identifying opportunities leading to practical outcomes
You are self-driven in tackling challenges and continuously improving your skills, where you value feedback and see teamwork as essential to finding the best solutions
