NEOGOV is part of the California State Senate, seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals for the Operations Specialist I role. This position involves supporting Senate Offices with a customer service focus, processing Senate events, and assisting with special projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The Operations Specialist I will review and process Senate events as well as other requests from Senate offices

The candidate will be assigned requests that come through the Senate Mail Program

The Operations Specialist I will work with Member and committee staff, as well as various federal, state and local government agencies to develop Senate outreach materials related to legislation and government programs

The candidate will be required to learn how to use various Senate computer programs to manage projects as well as the protocols and processes pertaining to mass mailing, Senate event requests, and various administrative functions

Given the fast-paced work environment of the Legislature, the Operations Specialist I is expected to timely complete a variety of tasks as requested and prioritize accordingly
