Responsibilities
Own accounting operations: Lead month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Implement systems and controls: Set up financial systems, internal controls, policies, and documentation to support rapid growth
Handle technical accounting: Research and apply guidance on revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation, and other complex areas
Optimize Procure-to-Pay: Oversee AP processing, vendor onboarding, purchase approvals, invoice management, and payment workflows
Manage audits and compliance: Prepare for annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
Partner on strategic initiatives: Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze financial results, streamline processes, and inform business decisions
Qualification
Required
6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Active CPA and a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Background in Big Four public accounting plus startup or high-growth tech experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.), Excel/Sheets, and SaaS billing tools; SQL is a plus
Familiarity with billing operations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
