Responsibilities

Seek, qualify, and close new business opportunities and maintain an active sales pipeline to ensure revenue growth YOY
Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
Reach out to prospective customers through all available channels, including but not limited to cold calling, cold messaging, attending conferences, LinkedIn messaging, etc
Identify and monitor new sales prospects, market trends, and competitors
Expand wallet share with current customers
Identify services and pricing that meet customer’s needs
Work with a team of on- and off-site employees to service your accounts
Prioritize client satisfaction, promote new services, set targets, and ensure healthy relationships between the company and customers
Take a leading role in presentations and proposals for accounts
Act as the senior liaison to the brokerage's high-profile customers
Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services

Required

7+ years of experience in freight brokerage shipper-facing sales
Currently working with a freight brokerage
Experience to attack larger opportunities
Seek, qualify, and close new business opportunities
Maintain an active sales pipeline to ensure revenue growth YOY
Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
Reach out to prospective customers through all available channels
Identify and monitor new sales prospects, market trends, and competitors
Expand wallet share with current customers
Identify services and pricing that meet customer's needs
Work with a team of on- and off-site employees to service your accounts

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to negotiate freight rates and fees
Strong familiarity with common industry technology including rating tools and TMS systems
Ability to productively work remotely
Willingness to travel when needed/when possible
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
