They are currently seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to assist with machine installations and service throughout North America, focusing on building, installing, and providing follow-up service for optimal machine performance.
Machinery
Responsibilities
Assemble machines in accordance with assembly prints and engineering specifications
Adapt parts, drill, tap, install bearings, fit covers, and other mechanical components
Install hydraulic/pneumatic valves, fittings, pipes, and hoses
Prepare machines for integration of auxiliary devices such as safety equipment, automation systems, and induction heaters in accordance with customer design requirements and specifications
Power up, debug, and prove the function of machine according to design specifications
Install and start up machines in customer facility, integrate with automation systems, and train maintenance technicians on proper operation and setup/repair of machine
Provide follow-up service to ensure machinery is operating according to design and specifications
Qualification
Required
Experience using basic hand and power tools such as drills, taps, grinders, and saws
Proficiency in using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
Experience using lifting/rigging equipment to move machines and components
Knowledge of mechanical assembly prints, detail prints, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred
Strong mechanical background or prior service experience in the machine tool industry
