Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
Analyze existing CNC machining manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement, including workflow and resource utilization
Lead the design, development, and implementation of tooling, fixtures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the grind shop
Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/ Kaizen) to reduce waste, drive cost‑savings, and enhance quality
Troubleshoot production issues in the grinding operation, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective/preventive actions
Collaborate with production associates, quality department, maintenance and other areas for new product development initiatives and qualification plans as required by customers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
Three (3) years of manufacturing or process engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Preferred
Familiarity with CNC machining operations and CMM machining and programming
Proficient in CAD/CAM tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Five (5) years of Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering in a private, public, government or military environment
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including root-cause analysis
Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under deadlines
Effective communication and teamwork across functional teams
