Steptoe LLP is seeking an Analyst to support its International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group in Washington, DC. The role involves conducting research and analysis on political, economic and market risks, and contributing to publications and policy discussions.

Responsibilities

Conduct research and draft political, economic, market and reputational risk analysis

Contribute analysis to the Steptoe risk publication

Contribute to the development of advocacy strategies

Conduct media monitoring and compile news and analysis summaries

Attend policy discussions at Washington-area think tanks and Congressional hearings

Contribute to due diligence and supply chain investigations

Support business development through business intelligence research and targeting

Interact with clients to assess needs and provide support

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Masters degree in International Affairs, Political Science or a relevant field

Minimum one year experience analyzing policy or security issues pertaining to Europe or Latin America

Preferred

Proficiency in one or more foreign languages desired

Experience in due diligence or supply chain investigations
