Responsibilities
The Operations Research Analysts supporting the Decision Support III (DS III) effort at U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) will apply mathematical modeling and optimization techniques to support decision-making, policy formulation, and operational analysis. Responsibilities include data collection, analysis, and interpretation to develop decision support software, services, and products
The Analysts will assess time, cost, and logistics networks for program evaluation, review, and implementation, ensuring efficient resource allocation and mission effectiveness. Additionally, they will collaborate with military stakeholders and defense agencies to refine strategic planning and operational execution
Travel: The primary places of performance for this contract are Huntsville, AL; Colorado Springs, CO; and the National Capital Region. Travel may be necessary for meetings, exercises, assessments, and collaboration with various military and defense organizations
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's or master's degree in operations research, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in mathematical modeling, data analysis, and decision support systems
Essential skills include quantitative analysis, optimization techniques, proficiency in analytical software (MATLAB, SPSS, SQL), and problem-solving
U.S. citizenship is required
An active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Preferred
Certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) are highly desirable
