Information Technology Support Engineer
Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation is seeking a dependable and detail-focused IT Support Engineer to provide day-to-day technical support for their staff. The role involves assisting with user onboarding, managing IT assets, and diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues to ensure reliable user-facing technology and uninterrupted service delivery.

Responsibilities
End-User Support: Act as the primary point of contact for IT support, delivering friendly and effective assistance to users in person, by phone, and remotely
Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, collaborating with vendors as needed to address technical problems
System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals to ensure reliable system performance
A/V & Shared Technology: Set up and support shared technology such as printers and audiovisual (A/V) systems to ensure a seamless and functional user experience
Mobile Device Management: Support and manage mobile devices, ensuring secure and compliant integration with company systems and software
Security & Compliance: Support IT security efforts by managing third-party risk assessments for new software, ensuring alignment with security and compliance standards
Incident Management: Effectively manage incident response by escalating issues appropriately to the IT Manager and Managed Service Provider (MSP)
Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise documentation, including support procedures, troubleshooting guides, and internal knowledge base articles
Asset Management: Track and manage inventory for all company-owned devices and peripherals to maintain accurate asset records
Project Contribution: Contribute to small and large scale IT initiatives and special projects with significant technology impact
Continuous Improvement: Develop performance metrics and success indicators to measure impact and identify areas for improvement
Qualification
Required
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related major, relevant industry certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience
1-4 years of hands-on IT support experience
Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 Applications (Outlook, Excel, OneDrive, etc), Active Directory, and Microsoft Teams administration
Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
Familiarity with ticketing system (Zendesk, ServiceNow, etc) workflows and remote support tools such as TeamViewer, Splashtop, or Ninja
Excellent troubleshooting abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills and a service-oriented approach
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with minimal supervision
Proven ability to collaborate across departments and contribute successfully in both independent and team-based environments
Preferred
Experience with MFA/SSO solutions such as Okta, Azure administration, familiarity with any CRM, understanding web server administration fundamentals, and familiarity with programming/scripting are all strong pluses
