Eliassen Group is seeking a proactive and skilled Clinical Application Support Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on supporting the functionality of the EMR and other Engineering Software Development efforts, requiring a strong background in healthcare applications and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2/3 support for clinical applications, focusing on both front-end user interactions and back-end investigations

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the patient portal, web browsers, and EMR systems

Conduct root cause analysis of defects and document reported issues

Utilize SQL to run audit queries, pull reports, and prepare results for a report-driven enterprise

Engage in detective work to reproduce and resolve issues when users cannot provide complete steps

Work with replication databases, understanding selects, joins, and materialized views

Adjust and create new SQL scripts as needed, beyond predefined scripts

Open console and developer tools to troubleshoot application performance issues

Collaborate with users to resolve issues and improve application performance

Support cross-functional remote teams and manage user expectations effectively

Required

Strong healthcare background (clinical or technical)

Proficiency in SQL for database queries and scripting

Experience with web application troubleshooting and support

Basic understanding of networking and computer hardware

Familiarity with SDLC processes and functional regression testing

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar

Preferred

Basic knowledge of JavaScript and React applications

Experience with HL7 standards and healthcare data exchange

Familiarity with API and web services

Experience with backend testing (database and middleware)
