Director, Fab Operations

Responsibilities

Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management skills are a must. Role requires regularly communicate to executive team, business units, supply chain, peers and operations technician staff. Ensure transparent and open flow of communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices. Provide regular reports and presentations to the executive team on operational performance and initiatives
Accountable for the safety, quality, cost, throughput, and on-time shipment of critical products for the demanding semiconductor industry and must proactively drive improvement across a 7x24 operation to enable the profitable growth of the businesses
Develop and execute strategies to meet company’s business objectives and goals. Translate to floor centric metrics to drive performance. Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and participate in its execution. Lead long-term capacity planning and infrastructure investment to support future growth
Work closely with the Supply Chain function to achieve business unit revenue, gross margin goals and key operations metrics such as OTD, late backlog, cost, yield and cycle time
Utilize technical skills to lead problem solving for a wide range of semiconductor Fab challenges. Implement work and process improvement methodologies and mentor staff to do the same
Face time with 7x24 team. Expected to skew periodically to maintain face to face relationship with all shifts
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Maintain rigorous quality standards to meet customer and regulatory requirements
Build, develop and grow the operations team, ensuring the efficient day to day operation of the function. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability throughout the manufacturing organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
15+ years related experience in operations, engineering and people management within a semiconductor wafer fab
Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position
