Responsibilities

Review and updating of fee schedule for accuracy

Preparation of pre-hearing and OTP submissions

Performance of arbitration hearing

Preparation of post-hearing submissions

Preparation of Requests for Modification/Clarification and Appeals

Processing of adjournments and consolidations as necessary

Request and obtain additional supportive medical records as needed

Prepare / review fee schedule for accuracy

Review / present settlement offer

Negotiate potential settlement with insurance company or attorney

Obtain authorization as necessary from medical provider

Complete closing paperwork for settlement

Review and determine if withdrawal is necessary

Complete closing paperwork for withdrawal

Qualification

Licensed NJ & NY BarJuris Doctor (J.D.)PIP arbitration experienceNegotiation skillsLegal researchCommunication skills

Required

Licensed and in good standing with the NJ & NY Bar

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Ability to learn to properly update the fee schedule breakdowns of all medical specialties in accordance with the New Jersey Fee Schedule and corresponding regulations (MRI, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture, orthopedic, neurologic, pain management, surgery, ASC, hospital, etc.)

Ability to learn to independently prepare all submissions and argue arbitration hearings based upon defenses submitted, including preparation of digital exhibits

Ability to learn to negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and adversaries
