Customer Success Manager

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular outreach, check-ins, and strategic conversations
Monitor account health and proactively identify risks, retention opportunities, and growth potential
Lead escalated conversations and cancellation requests with a solution-oriented, retention-first mindset
Conduct save conversations, including objection handling and value-based discussions to retain at-risk clients
Identify and recommend upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities based on client goals and business needs
Support renewals by reinforcing value, addressing concerns, and aligning services with evolving client needs
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions that support long-term retention
Accurately document client activity, risks, opportunities, and outcomes in CRM systems

Required

Experience in Customer Success, Client Services, Account Management, or Sales (B2B or service-based preferred)
Comfort engaging in sales and retention conversations, including renewals, upgrades, and objections
Strong persuasion and negotiation skills grounded in empathy and problem-solving
Ability to balance customer advocacy with company goals and revenue objectives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident, professional tone
Proven ability to de-escalate challenging situations and guide conversations toward positive outcomes
Familiarity with CRM tools and sales or customer success workflows
Ability to work on-site and collaborate closely with internal teams and leadership
