Ilitch Companies is seeking a Business Strategist responsible for developing executive-level plans and presentations. The role involves collaborating with senior leadership to support the execution of strategic plans for Ilitch Sports & Entertainment, including the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic support to Executive Leadership across IS+E, including creating executive-level project plans and presentations, building financial models, and developing reports that clearly communicate complex ideas and recommendations

Support the development and execution of strategic plans and key initiatives – including the identification of key performance indicators, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans as needed

Provide guidance and support to business units and functional areas to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives

Collaborate with finance, department leaders, and stakeholders on budget execution in accordance with the strategic planning process

Support the coordination and facilitation of strategic planning sessions – ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and performance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, analyze data, and develop insights that inform presentation content

Develop compelling visual aids, including charts, graphs, tables, and infographics, to enhance the clarity and impact of presentation content

Work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks, and develop action plans

Conduct benchmarking, research, and market analysis to support the development of strategic plans and key initiatives

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Monitor program milestones, deliverables, budget, and objectives – raising risks and issues appropriately

Support monthly Business Unit Reviews and collaborate with key decision makers to develop executive reporting materials

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field

2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategic planning, or related field

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
