Engineering Technician (Electrical)

JRC Integrated Systems is dedicated to tackling challenges faced by the Department of Defense and other government agencies. They are seeking an Engineering Technician with an electrical focus to support operations, maintenance, and testing at the Strategic Weapons System Ashore Test Facility.

Responsibilities

Operate and conduct regular maintenance on the High-Pressure Air, Hydraulic, Chilled Water, Nitrogen, and Low-Pressure Air systems
Provide technical expertise and guidance in design reviews, trade studies, and other technical meetings
Provide technical input to and author equipment operational and maintenance procedures as required
Analyze wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and technical manuals to plan installations and repairs
Establish positive relationships with customers, vendors, engineers, and technicians to plan, modify, and deliver fully operational systems

Required

An associate's degree in electrical technology or vocational training in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field
4+ years of experience working with electrical circuits, controls, VFDs and automated systems
An active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level or above (or have held an active DoD clearance within the last 2 years)
Licensed electrician or journeyman certification
A broad knowledge of facility management, construction techniques, code enforcement, operational safety, and configuration management
Proficient interpreting blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic
Experience with AC and DC motors, PLC programming, and troubleshooting control systems
Experience operating, maintaining and repairing high energy systems
A willingness to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate among multiple industry partners
High quality communication and presentation dexterity

Preferred

Familiarity with technical, logistical, and program challenges with SWS and SWS Ashore
Experience with the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program and SSP, including its culture, practices, and key stakeholders
SWS experience
Experience using SOLIDWORKS Electrical CAD
