5+ years expe-VAC Magnetics LLC is currently seeking a General Ledger Accountant to support finance, controlling, and business reporting. This role will be integral in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures for the new North American manufacturing facility in Sumter, SC, focusing on general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Enter financial data and transactions into the general ledger system
Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process (journal entries, account reconciliations)
Generate financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow) in accordance with GAAP and IFRS
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Effectively communicate and respond to internal and external accounting questions
Perform all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities
Monitor, confirm and reconcile all investment account activities
Record cash-related transactions and monitor daily bank balances
Prepare bank reconciliations
Maintain and manage present cash flow and prepare cash forecasts
Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports
Assist in analysis of financial data
Manage corporate tax requirements and filings via third party tax provider
Support year end and interim audit process
Assist in other standardized and ad hoc reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of experience as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar role
Strong understanding of cash management and banking processes
Experience with large ERP systems
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Preferred
CPA designation
Treasury and investment reporting requirements and procedures
Experience working in manufacturing or industrial sectors
Experience working in a multinational organization
