Business Analyst I
Purdue Federal Credit Union is seeking a Business Analyst I to support organizational initiatives by gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements. This role involves collaborating with end users and project teams to ensure business needs are clearly defined and support the implementation of technology solutions that improve efficiency and member experience.

Responsibilities
Assist in identifying, documenting, and clarifying business requirements, processes, and system needs
Meet with decision makers, business owners, and end users to understand problems and contribute to solution design
Support early identification of risks, issues, and dependencies with guidance from a mentor or senior analyst
Support the planning, development, and deployment of new applications or enhancements to existing systems
Assist with testing activities, including validating functionality and documenting results
Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams to communicate needs and ensure alignment
Maintain clear, organized documentation including requirements, workflows, meeting notes, and follow-up actions
Support communication efforts across teams by preparing summaries, updates, and materials
Display professionalism when interacting with supervisors, peers, and stakeholders
Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices relevant to the role to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making
Take ownership of personal development by participating in ongoing training, seeking feedback, and building knowledge and skills relevant to the role, department, compliance, and the credit union’s mission
Qualification
Required
Foundational understanding of requirements gathering, process documentation, and business analysis concepts
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Smartsheet is a plus
Ability to work independently with mentor support and follow established PMO methodologies
Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across teams
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts
