Stefanini Group is a global provider of outsourcing and IT consulting services, and they are seeking a Cloud AWS Engineer. The role involves developing IT engineering designs, analyzing business requirements, and preparing testing strategies while working with AWS services and automation technologies.

Responsibilities

Develops conceptual, logical and physical IT engineering designs, that support the infrastructure requirements of varying levels of technical and business application projects

Completes analysis of business requirements, as it relates to technical infrastructure design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements

Assesses testing requirements and prepares testing strategies, as well as preparing implementation and transition plans

Experienced level position requires developing career in field and gaining knowledge of industry practices

Requires moderate level of experience and proficiency in field

Knowledge: Progressive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines,, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies

Communications: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience

Risk Management: [The individual] is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making, and contributing to his or her functions risk management

Decision Making: Works under direction with infrequent checks; follows established methods and clear-cut policy. Makes decisions when general instructions or established methods indicate action to be taken

Highly Proficient with Amazon Web Services including EKS and other container based services with a min of 5 years of experience working with AWS services and specifically EKS

Highly proficient with Agile work environment and use of GitLab and similar source control and deployment technologies

Proficient with Terraform and other IaC technologies

Well versed with Ansible Automation and in general automation technologies

Well Versed with Packer and similar tools for building Virtual Machine Images

Performs resolution of complex hardware and problems affecting application systems. Initiates problem avoidance actions

Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Analyzes and revises existing system logic and documentation as necessary

Recommends solutions to minimize and/or prevent system interruption

Performs change and problem management using standard tools following change management policies and procedures for software/hardware propagation to other platforms and/or environments

May indirectly lead moderately complex projects, and participate on technical/complex projects. Provides project updates, and prepares management reports as required

Follows and ensures adherence to technical standards for programming and design techniques. Trains computer operations and System technical staff on use of software /hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures. Contributes to development and revision of department standards and procedures

Assists with monitoring compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guide-lines

Hours of Work: May require extended work hours. Occasional travel including overnight stays may be necessary

May be subject to on-call and call back as needed. May be exposed to moderate noise from equipment
