Responsibilities
Assist with screening of prospective clients and gathering intake information at new client meetings
Responsible for opening cases for new clients and working case until final phase
Manage firm calendar
Effectively handle a family law case from the initial retention through conclusion
Drafting and preparing all required pleadings, correspondence, and other documents for family law cases, including Dissolution of marriage; paternity; post-judgment actions (modification, contempt, enforcement); domestic violence injunctions; relocations; and all other family law related pleadings
Extensive preparation of Financial Affidavits, Mandatory Disclosures, and all other discovery requests and responses
Trial preparation
Preparation of family law calculations
Coordination of hearings, conferences, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy needed to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks
Client communication experience from retention through conclusion of the case
Ability to reassure and calm clients while explaining the process to them
An understanding of child support guidelines, and spousal support guidelines
Consistently meet and exceeds monthly billable targets
Able to work independently
Notary Public
Proficient knowledge of multiple systems, Word, Excel, lawcus, ring central, zoom, Apple computers, windows computers
