Product Engineer -- SolidWorks & Fabrication
EGA Products Inc is a family-owned manufacturer specializing in material handling and access equipment. They are seeking a hands-on Product Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills to design new products and improve existing offerings, working closely with sales and production teams.

Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for welded steel assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Support custom product requests with fast concepting, feasibility checks, and clear documentation
Create accurate BOMs, routings, and technical packages
Partner with Sales to interpret customer needs and generate rapid feasibility checks and engineered solutions for custom orders
Collaborate with production to improve design for manufacturing, reducing costs and increasing quality
Lead internal design reviews and participate in hands-on prototyping of new product lines
Identify opportunities to simplify, strengthen, or standardize designs across product lines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or similar
5–10 years of product design or mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, with experience designing welded steel structures or fabricated components
Ability to interpret blueprints, weld symbols, GD&T, and structural drawings
Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, shop personnel, and leadership
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
A practical, hands-on mindset. Someone who enjoys understanding how products are actually built
Preferred
Experience with material handling equipment
Experience with custom fabrication
Experience with short-run manufacturing
