Responsibilities

Ensure a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment coupled with an unparalleled level of customer service is paramount to guarantee a positive experience for all patients, caregivers, stakeholders, and guests
Responsibilities include managing all cash transactions for food items and maintaining as well as setting up the serving and dining areas
Assists with dining room set-up table clearing and resetting as needed. Works with appropriate departments to coordinate daily menu signage, food displays, guest special needs requests and requirements
Receives and greets customers, suggests, and describes available menu items, resolves customer concerns
Operates cash register for customers purchasing hot and cold food items adhering to established pricing structures and correct portion sizes to charge each customer appropriately. Follows all pricing structures and cash handling polices and guidelines and completes end of shift reporting and deposit
Ensures proper sanitation of entire workstation and area, hand hygiene, guest contact surfaces and as instructed by leadership using ServSafe as reference

Required

Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential
Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, is necessary
Must have strong attention to detail, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing conditions in a fast-paced environment are required

Preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
A minimum of one year's experience in Food and Beverage, Hospitality, or a high-volume hospital cafeteria setting
ServeSafe is preferred, but not required
