EHR Clin Solutions Analyst (Epic Beacon, Radiation Oncology, Ambulatory, Therapy Plans-Infusions), Remote - ITS-Clin Ambulatory
The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking an EHR Clin Solutions Analyst to formulate and design specifications for complex software applications. This role involves investigating and implementing solutions for clinical systems to enhance patient care and operational efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
Extensive subject matter expertise, technical knowledge, and analytical skills in the following Epic EHR modules and features: Epic Beacon, Radiation Oncology, and Epic Ambulatory applications
Extensive experience in documenting business processes, work planning, problem resolution, requirements, and technical analysis, software design, software testing, and end-user training, and a general understanding of project lifecycle management
Demonstrates highly technical and specialized clinical systems knowledge to include designing, programming, analyzing, testing, debugging, and understanding of complex clinical systems to enhance systems and implement appropriate solutions
The clinical solutions analyst will be expected to serve as a liaison between technical and business communities and must be able to communicate complex situations quickly and clearly to people with a variety of technical skills
The clinical solutions analyst will serve as a role model to junior, senior, and lead-level clinical application analysts
Participates in and coordinates all phases of total system planning specifications for facility requirements
Prepares detailed specifications of clinical solutions from which complex clinical programs are written
Independently solves highly complex technical issues, while also documenting solutions and mentoring other technical staff on how to resolve similar issues
Directs best practices in the application of system solutions, which may include the vendor’s recommendations
Proactively partners with customers to assess needs and expectations of the clinical information systems and to assure proper system configuration
Advocates for the customers by leading internal teams and projects to develop solutions to meet customers’ needs
Responsible for applications, including the operating systems, network integration, sophisticated routines, file maintenance, and advanced software packages
Responsible for clinical systems disaster recovery planning, business continuity planning, and the coordination of testing of the plans within the associated infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of related experience
Must possess sufficient educational background and/or experience to conduct clinical applications analysis and/or programming of complex systems, analysis of clinical workflows, implementation of solutions, and knowledge of system adoption strategies
An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position

Ability to manage a wide range of projects, large and small, along with a high volume of service requests
Ability to work independently and in a workgroup
Ability to create and/or maintain all clinical systems documentation, to include solutions as appropriate, to enable ongoing support of clinical systems
Ability to review current practices and workflows and research new technology solutions to develop an EHR to meet customers' needs
Ability to manage multiple activities and projects
Ability to prepare a presentation and present to an audience comprised of varying levels of leadership
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Demonstrate effective oral and written communications and follow-up skills, and strong interpersonal relationship skills
Strong communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Information technology, business, or a clinically related field preferred; years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Current certifications in any of the following: Epic Beacon, Radiation Oncology badge, Epic Ambulatory, and Epic Therapy Plans-Infusions
Build experience and current certifications in: Epic Beacon, Radiation Oncology, Epic Ambulatory
Clinical informatics knowledge and experience in implementing and supporting healthcare applications
Experience working with third-party vendor integration and HL7 interfaces
Understands and has project management experience with complete system life cycles from the initial planning through the final go-live stage, including the later stages of enhancements and additions
Experience with evaluating, documenting, and proposing workflow solutions while utilizing Microsoft Visio
