Owning all legal and governance matters related to private investment funds
Leading fund formation, including LPAs, side letters, subscriptions, and GP structures
Advising on regulatory and compliance matters affecting investment advisers
Supervising outsourced compliance resources
Supporting investment activity, governance, and firm operations
Managing and developing a small but growing legal team
Qualification
Required
A JD from a top law school
Approximately 7–12 years of experience
A strong law firm foundation in funds, asset management, or regulatory work
Meaningful in-house experience at an investment manager, VC, PE, FoF, secondaries, or similar platform
Deep fund formation experience with real ownership
Comfort advising senior stakeholders and balancing legal risk with business priorities
CALI Bar License REQUIRED
