Responsibilities

Define process for center-wide CNC machine health verification to maintain machine accuracy, repeatability, and performance
Conduct ballbar testing, laser testing, and other diagnostic tests to identify machine errors and deviations
Create and deliver technical reports, presentations, and training materials
Establish tooling processes for the center, including tool ordering and procurement procedures, tool life management systems, and tool data management for cataloging and maintaining tool information
Investigate and pilot digital transformation tools to drive process improvements and increased efficiency
Provide manufacturing floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
Perform Root Cause analysis and implement effective Corrective Action to address quality related issues
Investigate, propose, and implement technology to reduce costs and/or improve quality
Utilize CAM software for CNC programming
Create work instructions detailing the appropriate equipment, methods, special processes, tools and fixturing required to manufacture our complex components
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Experience with CNC machines
Knowledge of machine verification techniques such as Renishaw ballbar tests, Renishaw laser tests, Renishaw rotary tests
Knowledge of tool management software/processes (TDM, Wintool)
Experience with production manufacturing
G-code
Interest in metal machining, tooling, and the processes used to manufacture machined precision components
Interest in continuous improvement and lean six sigma principles
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
Interest in implementing new and exciting digital transformation technologies
Experience with machine monitoring tools including Grafana/FORCAM/TMAC
Root Cause Analysis
Data analysis and automation tools (Excel, Tableau, Alteryx)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
