The specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to create and promote content across multiple platforms focusing on energy-efficient technologies and building systems.
Responsibilities
40% - Develop general outreach displays, materials and supporting activities
60% - Develop outreach and education materials for sponsored research projects
Qualification
Required
Experience designing printed and electronic layouts that effectively integrate graphics and text
Experience using a computer to produce graphics, desktop publishing assignments and social media posts
Experience with related computer programs and apps such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, LinkedIn, Instagram, Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using writing, proofreading and editing skills to write and edit clear copy for a diverse audience
Continuing education or professional development in graphic design, mixed media, digital communications or related discipline
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload to maintain composure under heavy workload, conflicting priorities and other demands to meet deadlines
Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions to general problems, attempt unfamiliar projects or assignments, and respond with flexibility to requests for assistance
Interpersonal and communication skills to exercise diplomacy when dealing with others and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse team environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in communications, digital media, graphic design or related field
Knowledge of and ability to successfully utilize website building tools such as Joomla or Site Farm
