Responsibilities
Assist with basic troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other automation components
Observe and participate in the programming of PLCs and HMIs under supervision
Help maintain software documentation and testing procedures
Learn and use AutoCAD software to create and modify simple technical drawings
Assist in managing layers, adding dimensions, and organizing files as per project requirements
Follow standard drafting procedures and maintain accuracy in drawings
Attend project meetings to observe project planning and execution processes
Assist with basic documentation, such as Requests for Information (RFIs) and material file management
Shadow team members in preparing schedules and understanding project workflows
Visit job sites to observe equipment setup, system integration, and on-site troubleshooting
Participate in equipment inspections and learn to document findings effectively
Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting team members with administrative or technical tasks
Engage in mentorship sessions to build knowledge of industry standards, safety practices, and team collaboration
Qualification
Required
Must be a current student enrolled in a higher education program
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred
Interest in AutoCAD, PLC programming, or related fields
