As a Loan Specialist, you will assist Veterans and Active Duty Service Members in their VA loan process, acting as a point of contact and guiding them through the loan application and approval process.

Responsibilities

Interview borrowers and obtain and/or verify information and documentation while educating them on the loan process and product/service alternatives
Process borrower credit information through the online approval system and analyze for pre-approval or denial of loan applications
Remain knowledgeable on company and industry guidelines and processes
Make initial contact and respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email to collect borrower financial and credit information
Inform borrowers on future loan documentation requests, including borrowers' income and asset information
Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed

Required

Mortgage Loan Originator license required
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Passionate about helping Veterans
Enjoy building rapport and relationships with many different types of individuals and groups
Take initiative and have a competitive drive

Learn quickly and thoroughly while continually adapting to changing conditions
Results oriented and have a sense of urgency

Preferred

Previous mortgage experience is not required
Backgrounds in Fitness/Sports, Sales, Hospitality, Education, and Public Service are encouraged
