Responsibilities

Run finite element simulations in both linear and non-linear domain, motion & kinematics simulations
Exposure to Computer Aided Simulation tools is essential
Perform root cause analysis to determine failure modes, cleaning up and preparing 3D CAD models for meshing, meshing & applying contacts, applying appropriate boundary conditions, analyzing the results with logical reasonings, reporting and clearly communicating the results with the Requester
Cross-collaborate with other team members -Testing Dept., Quality, Design Teams, and Vendors
Participate in design reviews

Required

A bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum on-the-job 4-years of experience
Experience with running Finite Element Analysis & 3D CAD Modelling are desired
The person should have a solid foundation with 'Materials Science', 'Strength of Materials', 'Static and Dynamics', 'Fatigue', ‘Noise & Vibration', 'Fracture Mechanics' that are reflected in the College course-work, or special projects or on-the-job experience
A strong analytical mind, logical reasoning and organizational skills are required
The person should have a working knowledge of all the major manufacturing processes such as Metal Forming, Molding, Casting
The person should be initiative-taking, result-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
The job often requires trainings, and the person should be eager to a continuous education & learning path
A solid inter-personal and communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
Practical experience with Fasteners (Hardware), Fabrication, snap joints are also required
Knowledge with Microsoft Tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint will be used for regular communications

Preferred

Strong experience in running or exposure to ANSYS Computer Aided Element Tools are a significant plus
A working knowledge of 3D CAD Modelling with NX or CATIA is a plus
Exposure to consumer products industry is a plus
