Responsibilities
Review/interpret engineering drawing details and apply specifications at various inspection points
Provide support and feedback to production teams
Develop supporting documentation including inspection plans, work instructions, procedures and processes
Establish and suggest improvements in process routings for controlling product specification requirements
Initiate and review Document Change Orders, Engineering Change Orders, and process deviations
Collect process data and analyze the data using descriptive and inferential statistics
Evaluate the repeatability and reproducibility of inspection methods
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering/Engineering Technology Degree or demonstrated experience in a similar Manufacturing environment
Ability to interpret GD&T on Engineering drawings
Knowledge in inspection tools and methods
Knowledge in descriptive and inferential statistics
Knowledge in LEAN Six Sigma concepts and methods
Ability to read, interpret, and apply requirements from a multitude of industry standards documents
Must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to identify and solve problems with little direction or assistance
Skilled in the many uses of Excel including pivot tables
Must be able to enter data into a computer by use of a keyboard and mouse
Must be able to move around the plant as needed
Preferred
Some experience preferred
Experience with Excel, QI Macros, or minitab
Assembly and/or manufacturing shop floor experience is a plus
Experience with a Certified Quality Management System is a plus
