Quality Assurance Bench Technician
Troll Systems Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Bench Technician who will be responsible for calibrating, testing, tuning, and validating products to ensure they meet specifications. The role involves using various test equipment, troubleshooting printed circuit board assemblies, and executing Acceptance Test Procedures.

Responsibilities
Detect PCB, soldering, and test harness discrepancies per IPC 610/620 Standards
Successfully use a variety of test equipment, including multimeters, continuity testers, DVMs, DC loads, oscilloscopes, microwave frequency counters, noise-figure meters, noise figure test sets, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, signal analyzers, TV analyzers, vector network analyzers, temperature chambers, and custom in-house built PCB test sets
Read schematics and troubleshoot printed circuit board assemblies to the component level
Test, tune, and troubleshoot Troll’s current line of RF components, such as block down converters, antennas, microwave assemblies, and switching power supplies
Understand how to measure power amplifier characteristics, including output power, DC power consumption, spectral content, and gain of RF power amplifiers
Read and understand assembly drawings pertaining to wire harnesses, PCBs, and electromechanical assemblies
Determine the appearance quality of different surface finishes such as color, bead blasting, passivation, plating, powder coating, anodizing, and paint
Use dimensional measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, telescoping gauges, digital protractors, depth gauges, and micrometers
Test and troubleshoot test harnesses/cables using truth tables, assembly drawings, and schematics
Use computer software and services within Windows operating environments, with the ability to learn various test software
Read, understand, and execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
Write Non-Conformance Reports and Engineering Change Requests
Be accurate, consistent, and vigilant

Qualification
Required
Degree preferred: BS in Electrical Engineering and one to three years related experience OR an AS in Electronics Technology with five to ten years related experience
Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder for authorized access to controlled technology/data, as subject to ITAR
Valid driver's license
Valid passport
The employee must regularly lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and frequently push and/or pull up to 50 pounds
Preferred
Preferred experience in the aerospace industry as an electronics technician
Preferred knowledge of the AS9100 standard
Preferred professional certifications: Certified IPC Specialist (CIS), ASQ Certified Technician (CQT)
