Mix Operator Technician (1st Shift)

The Mix Operator Technician will be responsible for weighing and mixing rubber compounds, maintaining inventory, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety practices.

Responsibilities
Weigh ingredients as specified by the formula provided by the lab when necessary
Mix Rubbercraft’s compound formulations according to written instructions and IAW WI 751-19
Maintain inventory and order ingredients as needed
Conduct Visual In-process inspection to verify correct weight on ingredients
Maintain proper formula traceability
Follow all proper batch release procedures ref. FIFO
Suggest process and manufacturing improvements when and if insufficiencies exist on Opportunity for Improvements (OFI) forms
Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook or directed by your supervisor
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
High School Graduate or GED equivalent
1-2 + years working as a mixer in a rubber manufacturing environment
Read and write English, be able to follow and complete router instructions
Attention to detail
Working knowledge of different mixing mills, safety equipment and applicable tools
Good eye hand coordination
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
