Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience with Digital PCR (dPCR) workflows- alongside other molecular biology techniques to characterize viral vector residual DNA
Work alongside Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and execute wet-lab experiments and conduct initial method pre-qualification studies
Analyze experimental data to assess the size of residual DNA impurities, contributing to the team’s understanding of product quality
Document experimental protocols and results in laboratory notebooks and present technical findings to the research team
Collaborate with senior scientists to integrate the final quantitative dPCR assay into the existing Molecular Biology platform

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related life science field
Hands-on experience with fundamental nucleic acid handling and molecular techniques (e.g., standard PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis)
Demonstrated proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, including meticulous pipetting and solution preparation
Proficiency in data processing and analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, with an ability to interpret complex quantitative data
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with a passion for problem-solving
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree
Must have attained a Bachelor's degree (recent graduates not currently enrolled in a grad program)
Must be pursuing a Master's degree
Required Majors: Chemistry, Genetics, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields
Practical experience with Molecular Biology related lab techniques and safety
Strong academic understanding of nucleic acid handling, PCR/QPCR, and gel electrophoresis

Preferred

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with gene therapy concepts or Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) biology
