1+ years expVytl Controls Group is seeking a Staff Accountant I who will work directly with the Accounting Manager to prepare financial statements and regulatory documents. The role involves assisting in management reporting, ensuring internal controls, and participating in continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations and actively participate in other relevant month end close activities
Ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger sub-ledgers and support month-end close activities, including processing account adjustments, transfers, and additions, while monitoring account balances for necessary corrections and proper classifications
Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities
Participate in and lead assigned continuous improvement projects
Assist with walkthroughs of key business processes and ensure that documentation of those processes are kept up to date
Draft Accounting policies for review as assigned
Assist with preparation of PBC’s for external audit
Participate in internal audit processes under the supervision of Accounting Manager
Assist Staff Accountants II/III, Accounting Manager, and Controller with business analysis and special projects
Work with team to develop and maintain key business process procedures and ensure that documentation of those processes are kept up to date
Assist with administrative management of Accounting and Finance systems and software as assigned
Assist with preparation and completion of tax returns and other tax obligations as needed
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Audit, or Finance required
1-2 years of Accounting related work experience
Proficiency in MS Excel
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
Reliable
Proactive

A mindset for continuous improvement
Must be able to travel in accordance to company driving guidelines
