North Carolina State University is seeking an Assistant Broadcast Engineer to support the technical aspects of their broadcast environment. The role involves consulting with clients on video and audio requirements and executing field broadcasts.

Responsibilities

Assist the Broadcast Engineer to determine technical aspects of the WolfBytes broadcast environment
Consult with clients to determine video and audio requirements and act on those requirements to deliver finished product
Running a complete field broadcast from stage to setup, execution and breakdown
Assist in training staff and students to use broadcast production equipment
Willing to 'get into the weeds,' to learn and troubleshoot equipment in a broadcast environment

Basic broadcast switchingBroadcastLivestream knowledgeVMix experienceDante audio interfaceAudio routingMixer operationNDI / SRT understandingFinal Cut Pro experienceTeam collaboration

Required

Prefer basic broadcast experience
Basic broadcast switching experience
Knowledge of broadcast and livestream environment
Comfort in working with a small team in an educational environment
Valid NC Driver's License required

Preferred

Experience with vMix or similar production switchers
Understanding of Dante audio interface
Experience with audio routing and mixer operation
Understanding on NDI / SRT or other IP video workflows
Final Cut Pro experience is a plus but not a requirement
