Senior Benefits Consultant
PEPL is seeking a Senior Benefits Consultant for a client in Atlanta, GA. The role involves managing comprehensive employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic oversight to enhance employee experience and organizational alignment.
Human Resources
Responsibilities
Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and advisors to support the delivery of benefit programs
Provide strategic oversight of benefits systems, including UKG Pro and bswift
Guide system configuration decisions to support evolving business needs and improve employee experience
Partner with HRIS and Payroll teams to ensure data integrity, system performance, and user adoption
Evaluate and recommend technology enhancements or new tools to support benefits administration
Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to senior leadership on benefits trends, risks, and opportunities
Serve as the primary liaison between the benefits team and executive stakeholders
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for strategic benefits initiatives
Ensure benefits programs comply with regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and provincial laws
Oversee governance frameworks for vendor management, data privacy, and audit readiness
Support the development and maintenance of policies, SOPs, and internal controls
Lead required annual audits (e.g., 401(k)) and manage preparation and submission of compliance filings such as Form 5500
Maintain audit-ready documentation and oversee internal compliance processes
Oversee administration of benefit plans including health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), FSA, HSA, EAP, wellness, and ancillary offerings
Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, renewals, and performance tracking
Ensure timely and accurate benefits reporting, billing, and data management
Prepare and present reports on benefits metrics to senior management and stakeholders
Provide guidance on benefits communication and education to employees
Qualification
Required
Experience with UKG, health and welfare, and retirement plans/vendors is required
Knowledge of UKG required and bswift preferred
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in benefits program management, ideally with several years of functional leadership
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
