Textron is a global company with over 30 plants in 13 countries, and they are seeking an intern for their Sales department. The intern will assist with contract reviews, business development plans, and financial tracking, while supporting project goals and managing customer issues.

Responsibilities

Review new or amended contracts to confirm agreement to Kautex quotation (price, effective dates, capacity and terms etc.) in accordance with Kautex and Textron guidelines and procedures

Assist Sales Management to define business development plans, market intelligence and sales forecasting

Ensure strong financial control (sales portion) of Projects – i.e. positive cash flow including forecast; early invoicing; financial tracking

Support development and tracking of project related Performance Improvement Action Plan goals

Track open issues with customers, including quotes and orders

Process new or amended prototype and service orders, including ensuring delivery as applicable

Any other duties as assigned

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sales, Finance, Accounting, Marketing

Ability to effectively manage multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities

A clear understanding of contractual conditions relating to the sales of purchased goods and a commercial understanding of business practices including margin, profit, and basic financial procedures

Strong sales and negotiation skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent telephone skills and computer knowledge with proficiency in database management and word processing

Experienced with Microsoft Office suite

Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented

Able to follow procedures & processes

Good mathematics skills
