Required

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Demonstrated several years of administrative and cost accounting experience with all types of award mechanisms, including grants, contracts, subcontracts, and cooperative agreements
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting, fiscal and reporting principles
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with post-award administration, reporting, close-outs
Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of the compliance and sponsor policies related to research administration
Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of federal, state, and non-profit sponsor regulations, policies, requirements, procedures, and areas of interest
Knowledge of current compliance regulations in all areas of research administration, knowledge and skills to interpret and apply sponsor, institutional and departmental policies

Preferred

Possess the Certified Research Administrator certificate or similar certification
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Code of Federal Regulations, sponsor-specific policies, intellectual property policy, conflict of interest requirements, publication rights, application of indirect cost rates and other complex concepts in research administration
Knowledge of UC Davis contract and grant procedures
Knowledge of Decision Support, Cognos Reports, effort reporting, cost-share tracking and Kuali processes
