Machinist III - Track Roller (2nd shift)

They are seeking a Machinist III - Track Roller to set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machine tools, ensuring precision and quality in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
With limited technical supervision, set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machine tools to perform progressive machining operations on repetitive work requiring close tolerances and exacting finish specifications
Verify and modify CNC programs as needed; work from programs, operation sheets, and machine setup instructions
Independently manage material clamping methods, machine adjustments and offsets, and console settings
Perform machining operations including drilling, honing, boring, milling, turning, and screw machine operations on routine and repetitive parts
Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain quality and productivity
Perform additional tasks as required to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience as a CNC machinist
Understanding of common GD&T symbols and controls, including runout, concentricity, and parallelism
Proficiency in shop math
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Knowledge of machining techniques such as cutting jaws, tool touch-offs, and tramming fixtures
Familiarity with CNC machine operating procedures, including dry runs, geometry and wear offsets, MDI functions, and basic G-code commands
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a machining environment
Continuous standing and walking
Frequent mental and visual attention to detail
Frequent bending, twisting, and grasping of tools and materials
Occasional lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs. (15–40%)
Exposure to typical aerospace machining conditions, including noise, fumes, metal chips, and coolants
