5+ years expData Center TALNT is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support a mission-critical data center retrofit project for a major General Contractor. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring quality execution across electrical, mechanical, and critical infrastructure systems on an active hyperscale data center campus.

Responsibilities
Perform field quality inspections for electrical and mechanical scopes, including Electrical distribution (switchgear, UPS, generators, busway, panels) & Mechanical systems (chillers, CRAHs/CRACs, piping, pumps, controls)
Verify work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards
Conduct inspections during installation, testing, and turnover phases
Identify deficiencies and generate punch lists, NCRs, and corrective action reports
Track and close quality issues in coordination with construction and subcontractor teams
Review and validate ITPs, test reports, redlines, and as-built documentation
Support turnover and readiness activities alongside commissioning teams
Maintain accurate daily and weekly quality reporting
Participate in site walks, coordination meetings, and quality reviews
Ensure all work adheres to mission-critical best practices and safety requirements
Qualification
Required
5+ years of QA/QC experience in mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial construction
Data center experience required (new build or retrofit)
Strong understanding of MEP systems in mission-critical environments
Experience performing QC in live or retrofit data center environments strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and submittals
Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
Comfortable working onsite full time in an active construction environment
Preferred
Prior experience on hyperscale data center projects
Familiarity with commissioning processes and turnover documentation
Electrical or Mechanical background (trade, engineering, or equivalent)
Procore, BIM 360, or similar construction management software experience
