Human Resources Manager

Seabrook Land Company is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead the evolution of their people operations. The role involves managing day-to-day HR functions and driving strategic initiatives that support employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth and efficient HR service delivery across all levels of the organization
Administer and support core HR programs including payroll, benefits, leave administration, disciplinary processes, investigations, performance management, and employee engagement
Provide expert guidance and support to both HR staff and organizational leadership, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process—recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates. Collaborate with department leaders to assess staffing needs and role requirements
Conduct or coordinate background checks and employment eligibility verifications
Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a welcoming and consistent new hire experience
Develop and maintain employee recognition initiatives to promote engagement, retention, and morale
Monitor and ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and others
Track and document compliance-related activities such as mandatory training, certifications, and continuing education requirements
Support and advise on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies
Handle general HR inquiries from employees and supervisors, escalating sensitive or complex issues as necessary
Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures that reflect organizational goals and best practices
Manage and optimize HR systems and tools to enhance data management, reporting, and workflow efficiency
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.)
Experience with HRIS systems and a data-driven approach to HR management
Knowledgeable with Google Workspace and HRIS software, ADP experience is a plus
All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

Preferred

HR certification preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, etc
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred
