Responsibilities

Assess and develop goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners
Create logical and physical models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones
Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues
Conduct research and makes recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

Required

Bachelor's degree in business or computer related field
Certification in relational database technology
At least five years of experience working as a database analyst or administrator
At least 1 year experience writing in MS.NET programming integration and reporting services
Master's degree may offset years of experience requirement
Experience with Business Intelligence tools and report writing products required
Additional years of experience may offset educational requirements
Data warehouse and/or data mart implementation experience required
Knowledge of application system design and programming techniques required
Systems analysis skills in exploring design options and presenting findings

Preferred

Prior healthcare experience
Computer Science or Data Statistics degree highly preferred
Experience with ETL (extract, translate, load) procedures
SQL (Microsoft SQL Server), Tableau, or Oracle experience preferred
Knowledge of healthcare and electronic medical records
Professional certifications in healthcare information/informatics, such as CPHIM
Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)
RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator)
