Responsibilities
Assists in the development of 2D drafting/design tools to improve efficiency within the Engineering department
Supports conceptual and preliminary models/drawings to be used for development of product
Collaborate closely with Engineering department and other teams to understand project requirements
Optimize processes to enhance performance, productivity, and user experience
Maintain existing engineering records and designs
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of automation scripts & tools to identify and resolve issues promptly
Coordinate with other engineers, management, and the creative departments to determine design solutions
Aides in communication with the Design/Drafting teams to maintain standards
Travels, when necessary, for product development at other AAON plants
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualification
Required
Four-year degree in Computer Science (or similar field of study) or Four years of industry experience in similar technical field
Experience using Python, VBA, C# or other programming languages
Proficiency in utilizing a distributed version control system, particularly Git, with in a team setting
Strong collaborative skills, effectively engaging with colleagues to drive projects forward through clear communication
Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities
Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills
Works effectively in a team environment
Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
Communicates effectively in written and spoken form
Lift up to 50lbs
Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours
Preferred
Experience using computer-aided design such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or SolidEdge is a plus
