Responsibilities

Focuses on payments domain (capabilities, data, services, orchestration, clearing connectors)
Provides technical leadership in the solution design and engineering function to enable Payments technology delivery
Designs end-to-end solutions and creates engineering architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
Directs and manages the delivery of large and complex application development projects in the payments space, for the function of expertise
Defines strategies and engineering needs focused on technology development
Maintains relationships with internal clients; communicates with broader IT and business teams. monitors prompt response and support on technical issues
Ensures high standards and quality of technical work. Directs reviews of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs
Directs, motivates, develops and manages the performance of the solution design and engineering team
Directs all activities and initiatives related to application services for an entire organization or for major clients
Directs and manages the delivery of large or complex application development projects. Defines strategies and client needs focused on technology development
Maintains relationships with clients; communicates with IT and business management. Monitors prompt response and support for technical issues
Ensures high standards and quality of technical work. Directs reviews of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs
Directs, motivates, develops and manages the performance of the management team and key staff

Required

University / college degree and higher-level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications
Industry-relevant experience is typically 15+ years
At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required
Proven leadership experience with a large scope of responsibility is required
Deep knowledge of Payment operations, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific practices (e.g., Fedwire, CHIPS, ACH, RTP, FedNOW, SWIFT, ISO 20022, NACHA)
Deep knowledge of the payment systems – orchestration, integration, data, business flows, settlement processes, risk exposures, operational resilience, cutover strategies, and compliance
Application Development with distributed technologies | Extensive Experience | Required
Knowledge of the methodologies and protocols for client/server applications
Shares in-depth knowledge and experience with cloud engineering
Explores the rationale behind the allocation of processing and data for key applications
Practices infrastructure and information security excellence in building applications
Applies methodology to multiple application environments, platform integration and system linkages
Consults with others on design, implementation and evaluation issues
IT Industry: Trends & Directions | Extensive Experience | Required
Knowledge of and ability to analyze marketplace experiences, developments and trends related to the function of Information Technology (IT)
Anticipates the organization's future position on technology-related trends
Leads in the implementation of industry benchmarks in the IT field
Consults on the utilization and optimization of specific and multiple industry information sources
Outlines organizational implications associated with major IT trends
Compares the organization's technology practices with those of other organizations
Oversees multiple selection, evaluation and certification initiatives for the IT industry
