Responsibilities

Develop product design strategy and oversee design and development execution for both branded-style and private-label programs

Clearly communicate product vision to design and development teams

Evaluate internal and external resources to determine the most effective and cost-efficient design and development approaches

Collaborate with CAD and technical designers, vendors, and factories to ensure products meet aesthetic, structural, and timing requirements

Maintain strong awareness of market trends, including consumer insights, fashion direction, and product innovation

Prepare trend research, inspiration boards, and color stories as needed

Develop seasonal line plans that support growth opportunities

Partner with business, sourcing, and factory teams to establish appropriate and cost-effective sourcing strategies

Manage product costing through timely submission of prototype packages

Revise materials and designs to achieve margin targets aligned with wholesale and retail expectations

Build and maintain strong relationships with material suppliers and manufacturers

Participate in meetings with internal teams and external partners to present seasonal concepts, trends, and strategies

Oversee departmental budgets, including outsourced design resources, sampling, freight, and related expenses
