Regulatory Compliance Consultant I - National General

Responsibilities

Conduct research and perform analysis on policy language, regulatory changes, competitor products, market needs, and emerging issues, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Develop and maintain policy forms, policyholder notices, and other communications, as well as forms requirements, for discretionary and compliance projects and manage timelines for research, development, filing and implementation
Work closely with product management, claims, underwriting, IT and other areas in the creation of product portfolios
Prepare forms filings in accordance with state requirements and respond to DOI objections as well as participate in DOI meetings
Identify and track regulatory changes at the state and federal level and notify key stakeholders to ensure compliance with new/existing laws, regulations, and DOI communications

Required

Property and Casualty Experience

Preferred

Legal background would be helpful
Knowledge of standard personal lines programs of insurance
