Responsibilities
Perform EHV Technical Design Studies
Utilize software to perform analysis and write detailed reports
Conduct Shunt Reactive Compensation and Voltage Control studies
Execute Coupled Line Resonance Studies
Analyze Single Pole Automatic Reclosing
Conduct Series Capacitor Analysis
Perform Line Switching Overvoltage Studies
Execute Line Insulation Coordination Studies
Conduct Breaker TRV/RRRV Studies
Perform Line or Sub MAD calculations
Analyze Coupling to Adjacent Circuits in ROW
Conduct Voltage/Current Unbalance/Transposition Studies
Perform Transformer Energization
Conduct TOV studies in HV/EHV systems
Analyze EHV Capacitor Switching
Perform Technoeconomic Conductor Selection Studies
Conduct EHV Power Cable Studies
Qualification
Required
MSEE
15+ year performing most of the studies listed above
Expert user of PSCAD
expert user of positive sequence/phasor domain tools
Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future
Extensive experience with PSCAD is required
knowledge of common loadflow tools, MathCad, Excel is a must
Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements
Preferred
PhD is desirable
knowledge of ATP and EMTP-RV a plus
a professional engineers license is preferred but not required
