Responsibilities

Perform software coding, testing, and create relevant documentation across multiple products with minimal supervision
Work with Product Management and subject matter experts to identify and clarify requirements
Display leadership within a team environment and contributes from their knowledge level
Optimize Engineering processes by recommending improvements to policies and procedures
Estimate software work packages and provide input to proposal responses
Assist in 'Tier 3' engineering support of customer problems to resolve defects in fielded systems

Required

Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent
8+ years' experience in Windows with a minimum of 4 years with speech technologies
Strong experience with the C/C++ programming language family
Strong working knowledge of Object-Oriented programming / Design Patterns
Strong working knowledge of low-level Windows audio and USB APIs
Knowledge of digital audio/signal processing
Active U.S. Passport
Ability to pass a security clearance background check
This position will required the employee to be in Canada for the first 3 month of employment for training
It requires 65% of traveling after passing the three (3) month of training at Canada

Preferred

Experience with Linux
Experience in the Air Traffic Management Software/Air Traffic Control development domain
Experience with real-time or pseudo real-time systems
Network Programing Experience
Experience in JAVA
Experience with Python
Experience with WEB based development
