Responsibilities
Primary technical support interface to US OEM customers for Connectivity products (AEC, ACC, AOC, retimers, ODSP)
Hardware review (schematic and layout)
Channel simulation support
In-lab bring-up
API and CMIS support
Pre-sales and qual support for US Hyperscaler and Tier-2 Cloud customers
Work with business unit to manage escalation process for next level issues and new feature requests
Collaborate with end-customer FAEs to bridge gap between OEM and end-customer (Hyperscaler/Cloud)
Partner with Business Unit to manage high priority issues, escalations, and new feature requests
Build customer trust and relationships
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role
Deep understanding of optical transceivers (e.g., QSFP-DD, OSFP), retimers, and high-speed cable technologies (AECs, ACCs)
Familiarity with signal integrity concepts, SerDes tuning, link training, and compliance testing for 100G/200G/400G/800G+ links
Experience supporting or integrating optical and electrical interconnects in a data center environment
Proficient in lab tools such as BERTs, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers; scripting experience (e.g., Python) is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain trusted relationships with customers
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across engineering, sales, and product marketing teams
Flexibility to travel as needed to customer sites (assume 25% travel to primarily West Coast)
Preferred
Familiarity with industry standards and ecosystems such as IEEE 802.3, OIF, and relevant MSAs (e.g., QSFP-DD, OSFP, CMIS)
Scripting experience (e.g., Python)
