Law Practice
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake to resolution
Prepare legal documents including, but not limited to, pleadings, letters, motions, written discovery, settlement agreements, judgments, subpoenas, and trial briefs
Conduct legal research and stay current on relevant laws and precedents
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service
Travel to offices and courts throughout Southern California as required
Exhibit strong time management and billing discipline, consistently maintaining at least 140 billable hours per month
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
1–5 years of legal experience
Strong writing, research, and oral communication skills
Experience working independently and collaboratively on complex matters
Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms (ex. Westlaw)
Preferred
Prior experience in family law
Ability to represent clients in court, mediation, and negotiations
Familiarity with family law accounting principles
