Performing various clinical, clerical, and financial job duties assigned within the scope of laboratory services
Specimen verification and processing
Phlebotomy
Sample tracking including crediting and cancellation of laboratory testing
Processing send out tests
Phone reception
Printing and distribution of reports
Operation of office equipment such as fax machines, copy machines and printers
Basic computer skills in the laboratory and hospital information systems
Insurance verification
Reviewing patient accounts for proper diagnosis coding
Providing necessary forms (ex. ABN) and documentation to ensure payment of services
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent or GED
Less than 1 Year Clinical Laboratory
Less than 1 Year Billing/Insurance
Less than 1 Year Phlebotomy
